Practical STORIES
 |
Here is a story that I truly find cool.
A client
once said to me that he didn’t do any spiritual work anymore
because it
wasn’t practical.
I believe God is a part of everything I do and
does it so much better than me!
Enjoy!

It
was spring '02 that I started getting visions about traveling across
the US in a travel trailer. I
proceeded to check out RV shows and local dealers to see what would be
best for me. One of my local dealers showed me the trailer I was
interested in and then asked me to take a look at a motor home. It was a
35 foot Class A motor home. I stepped in and was mesmerized. It was
beautiful, but the feature that sold me was the shower. It was in the
back and huge. Two of me could fit inside it. It was just like home.
I continued to go to
RV shows for two years. I had a great salesmen at every dealership in
Florida. I continually spoke to God about this huge purchase and asked
many questions on how it could happen. I was guided to a large dealership
near Tampa, Fl. I saw the big shower model on the lot in June 2004. I
knew that was the one I was going to purchase. I asked God “on the spot” if
I should buy it that day. God said “no.” That’s it just no. I went home
and continued to look at the website of that dealership. One week later
“my motor home sold". I was livid. I said to God “now what do I do?” It
was an 04 and discontinued for 05. I saw my big shower driving away. God
said continue looking in the used department of the same dealership. I
didn’t want used, but trying to be the humble student and obeying God’s
word, I settled down.
Continuing to search
on the dealers’ website, I was a little discouraged. I thought I was
running out of time. Three months almost to the day in September ’04, my motor home was returned with almost no use and little mileage. I bought
the perfect motor home for me and God even handled all the financing.
Remember that line of credit story?
Please don’t ever say God isn’t practical. |
