On the road again ~ north carolina
Just
finished a two week stay in Balsam, NC next to Waynesville and near
Maggie Valley. It was quite an experience from the flat land of
Florida. The campground was in the mountains and my first parking
experience was exciting as the motor home was perched on a small cliff
and its levels lifted the front wheels off the ground.
O n
the recommendation of my friend and web designer Jay, I met Jay and
Bernie in NC to begin the trip with friends. It was a lot of fun and
we saw many sites and did some great hiking. I was able to share many
meals with my friends which is always a great experience for me since
I may have to eat alone at times during the trip. I have to say the
simplest pleasure I had in those two weeks was the many times I
laughed. I have been sitting in fear about taking this trip alone,
holding on to agitation about the house not selling before I left and
holding grudges from the past toward someone I truly believed I would
share this trip with. The laughter helped me realize I can have fun
with anyone. More importantly, there are many who love my company and
would like to share time with me. I even met someone to share site
seeing and who agreed to meet up later on the trip. Sometimes our
narrow minds can cut off some of the most precious moments happening
right now. I will do my best to remember this for the rest of the
trip.
P resently,
I am in Pigeon Forge, TN. I went to see Dollywood, Dolly Parton's
amusement park. I leave for Nashville on August 11th, on the way to
Colorado. I believe to be in Nashville for the weekend. I am still
planning the route to Colorado and will keep you posted.
